Juices…smoothies. Both delicious. Both beneficial.
If you need a potable snack that supplies you with nutrients & also keeps you full: smoothies are an great choice. Or.. If you’re looking to increase your fresh fruit and veg quota: juicing is one good way to achieve this.
Juicing can also be helpful for those with delicate digestive systems as there is no fibre, making it very easy to digest.
Though nutritious, green juice can be quite pricey if store bought. & buying a juicer can be pretty expensive. What are we to do? Why not use your multifaceted blender! Blenders can be used for many things including juicing…I used my vitamix which does the job fabulously!! The trick is to add water and use water rich fruit and veg (e.g cucumbers).
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2 cups water
- 2 celery stalks
- 2 apples
- Small bunch spinach
- 2 lemons squeezed
- Handful of mint
- Thumbnail of ginger
- Simply cut all ingredients, put in blender, blend, strain, pour back into blender, grab a beaker & put juice over ice. **lets not waste the juice pulp!..you use it for veggie burgers, compost, soups& stews
