Short of time to make a chocolate mousse which requires setting in the fridge? Or is it that you do not want to use raw eggs? Or perhaps you feel like a guilt free dessert? Whatever the reason, this avocado mousse is well suited for any occasion.
What can beat a healthy dessert that’s satisfying, creamy and not too sweet? Anytime I can make a dessert healthier – or sneak in a few extra nutritional benefits – I do it! The star of this recipe is avocado and cacao powder which means that this mousse is full of anti-inflammatory healthy fats from the avocado and antioxidants from the cacao powder. Any time I mention the words avocado and chocolate in the same sentence, people turn their noses up. BUT, those people have never tried avocado chocolate mousse — quite possibly the quickest, simplest, tastiest chocolate mousse there is.
So this is a dessert you can feel good about eating and it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser! Quick and easy recipe that contains no eggs or gelatine, suitable for any occasion. Great served with fruit.
This Avocado Chocolate Mousse not just looks but tastes like a standard chocolate mousse. That, minusing the calories of course.
I hope you enjoy this healthier dessert as much as I do! When you are serving it, ask people to guess what is it in! No one will attribute the rich creamy texture to an avocado.
