Want to give your body a burst of nutrition?
Green juices are the way to go. They are like liquid emerald for boosts of energy. Not only do they flood our bodies with minerals and vitamins, they support our body’s natural ability to detox and cleanse.
Although, the benefits of juicing are so profound, I know many of you are still not sold. Many reading this now are skeptical when it comes to drinking something this shade in colour.
A survey from Jamba Juice (a juice company) found that 28% of people think green juice is “scary” looking. But, rest assured readers, with the perfect mix of greens and fresh fruit, green juices are delicious beverages that will keep you returning to the juicer for more.
This juice recipe is simple to make and is so refreshing.
Plus, just 4 ingredients, naturally sweetened, with 148% of your Vitamin C intake and 207% of Vitamin K allowance, now that is a juice.
These 4 ingredients are nutritional powerhouses:
Apple: The old saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” is factual. Apples help to improve your digestion and lower inflammation in the body.
Celery: Celery is an excellent source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals such as vitamin K, vitamin C, potassium, folate and vitamin B6.
Spinach: Popeye was spot on for choosing this powerhouse as his energy source. Spinach offers an impressive amount of vitamin C, vitamin A, and minerals manganese, zinc, and selenium.
Pineapple: Most of the vitamin C in this juice come from the pineapple. This fruit has a very high percentage of Vitamin C which is great in building up the immune system and warding off coughs, colds, and flu symptoms.
If you want to make this recipe but you are without a juicer, place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, adding a splash of orange juice/water if needed to get it moving. I probably would add about 1/4 cup. Then, place mixture in a fine strainer over a large bowl. When completed, compost the pulp and pour the juice into a glass over ice.
